Three major news magazines ? Time, Newsweek and mother's day 2013
Times Magazine ? had a family and parenting-related cover story last week. Newsweek’s is about obesity and childhood obesity, mother's day movie
Magazine writes about true problem children, and Time ? well, that was
about getting attention, and it worked.Advocacy organizations, like mother's day songs
National Partnership for Women and Families with its state-by-state analysis of laws regarding parental leave and Save mother's day gifts
Children with its State of mother's day crafts
World’s Mothers report on Nutrition in Mother's Day Poems
First 1000 Days, released data and reports regarding families and policy. The cover of Mother's Day Cards
Book Review? Three books about women as mothers ? Judith Warner’s
review of “The Conflict” and “The New Feminist Agenda,” and Judith
Newman’s review of “Making Babies.”
Some of this (I’m talking to you, Time) was in “honor” of Mother’s Day. Some was timed accordingly, and some, like Mother's Day Flowers
Magazine’s article “When is a Problem Child Truly Dangerous” was just
coincidental ? a piece about possible child psychopaths is distinctly
not Mother's Day Gift Guide 2013
Magazine editor Hugo Lindgren’s idea of celebrating mothers (although
there are certainly days when an article that convinces me that my
children are not clinically psychotic is just what I need). But last
week, one way or another, everyone was talking about family.
